The Spirit of the Lord has spoken to Rev. Valsalam to start a Children’s Home through this Bible passage: 

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. Isaiah 58:7-10 

Gilgal Children’s Home caters to the needs of 56 kids at present.

At Gilgal Children’s Home, children inmates are provided with food, clothes, medical care and education in an environment of Christian love and affection. It is a home away from the home.

We support the children with thorough guidance for prospective future until he/she settles down in life.

Gilgal rose to the occasion when the unprecedented tsunami killed about 1000 people in the coastal belts and rendered thousands of fish workers homeless, in our native Kanyakumari District.  Gilgal plunged into action by providing emergency relief material as food, clothing, medicines and shelter in relief camps.
